‘Crazy Rich Asians’ will hit the theaters this summer! The film is an adaptation of the first book of author Kevin Kwan’s book series. The novel is loved by many, and the Hollywood film will star an all-Asian cast—the first one in 25 years. Jon M. Chu directed the romantic dramedy.
The story is about Rachel Chu, an NYU economics professor whose boyfriend is Nick Young, a secret multimillionaire. Rachel finds out about Nick’s wealthy family when he brings her to Singapore for a family event.

‘Fresh Off the Boat’ star Constance Wu will play the role of Rachel Chu, and Nick Young will be played by Henry Golding. The film also boasts of talents like Michelle Yeoh, Awkwafina, Harry Shum Jr., and even Ken Jeong.
What makes this film special is Kevin Kwan’s active presence through the whole film production. He was there during the casting and even in Singapore. He made sure his novel was brought to life like how he pictured it, and Jon M. Chu did not seem to disappoint. Watching the trailers alone, it seems the film lives up to its title— posh, luxurious, and crazy.
